I could not have been happier with my experience at The Roost Resort! It was so clean, every need I could have had was anticipated ahead of time by them, the scenery behind the resort was beautiful and the cabins were absolutely charming. I tend to be rather particular in where I stay...and I can't wait to come back and spend more time at this lovely little spot in Custer. I appreciate their tenacity in keeping the resort family friendly and quiet in the evenings. It makes for that much more of a relaxing getaway. It is clear you take pride in your business and you have every reason to be proud-You guys do an exceptional job!

We spread our money around on vacations at various campgrounds and cabins before hitting on this one.
We stayed 2 nights in the campground and 3 in one of their cabins, as we always do to save money. As the car wasn't yet ready when it was time o move up the hill, Frank loaned us his pickup to get our stuff up there.

Cabins are comfy. The refrigerators have enough freezer that if you pack frozen 2-liter/half gallons for ice, you can refreeze overnight. They sell ice and firewood at prices competitive with town.

I loved this campground! I stumbled upon it after leaving a horrible camping experience. This place is beautiful. They even have free range chickens in their front yard. I was able to get a beautiful campsite with electric, water and WiFi at a fantastic rate. Deer can been seen everyday in the fields. The bathrooms are beautiful, modern and immaculate. The owners are so friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and again.
They have the nicest shower house of any campground we've stayed at. Always very clean.
No need to go elsewhere.
Me and my hubby and teenage son checked in friday July 21st 2017 and we are very impressed with this place we want to move here the cabins are very nice and clean and restrooms are very clean and located close.this is the best place to stay we have checked out others not as nice as this place.
Great place to stay! Our family stayed in cabin 9 for a week in may. It was clean, quiet and owners were very friendly. The location was perfect. Would absolutely stay here again.
