Great place! Good food, nice gift shop and a wonderful place to stay. Lots to do nearby if you love nature activities.
We love the bar area! Juliette is hands down the best bartender in the BH! She pours perfect quality drinks! The restaurant is hit and miss and a little pricy for the meal. However, I have eaten there many times and have always had great food just not always the best service. I would recommend the bar area any day though!
Nice place to eat. Appetizers were great. Rattlesnake and rabbit sausage! The french fries that came with the burger were amazing! Service was good. Would go again.
The waitress was polite and took our order, brought our drinks and then forgot about us for about 25 minutes. When she brought our food some items ordered were missing but she corrected it quickly. What was most upsetting for the entire hour and a half we were there, we were the only ones seated out on the patio. No other customers were brought to the patio (there were several that put their names in after we did) in fact the only person we saw out there was the waitress. It became clear we were singled out, if I had to guess I would say it was because we were on motorcycles. I"m not sure why we would be singled out because of that, we were clean, well dressed, wearing boots, jeans, and tank tops and bandanna's, nothing inappropriate or obscene, we are all in our 50's on vacation enjoying the scenery.
When we got our bill the waitress disappeared again and at that point we ended up going inside to pay. Much to our disbelief the place was 3/4 empty and pretty much confirmed our suspicions. If you ride beware you may be singled out at this place. Will never waste my time or money there again.
I will never go back to this place and I am making sure everyone I know is aware of the treatment we received. After a day of riding through the canyons, in which it was about 90 degrees we stopped to get some lunch and cold beverages. We put our names in at the desk and were told we would be seated momentarily (we waited about 15 minutes). When our names were called we were told we would have to sit out on the patio as they were busy and those were the only seats available. As we walked through the restaurant to the patio there were clearly several open tables and an entire room that had available tables, when I mentioned the open tables inside where it was cool, the waitress said she didn't know anything about them and we proceeded to the patio.
Started there for two nights during the off season. Seems like very nice accommodations. Would consider staying there longer in the future.
