Excellent campground to stay at. Great sites for tents to RV and everything else in between. Clean and maintained facilities. Great location to see the black hills area from. Owners are helpful and friendly. Would recommend this campground to anyone planning to stay in the area.
First and very important, the owners are great. Very friendly and accommodating. Campground is very nice. Very large with beautiful tall pines. Good, space between campsites. Close to everything in Custer. Would definately come back.
Just stayed here for three days just recently and enjoyed every minute. Ron and Angie are very friendly and welcoming hosts. The main bathrooms in the back are very clean and very well lit which is much appreciated. They also will deliver firewood to your camp for free! The firewood bundles are very reasonably priced compared to most campgrounds as well. Would highly recommend this campground and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the Black Hills.
Big Pines campground is awesome! I've been traveling for 2 weeks now across the country and have yet to stay at a campground that has even come close to Big Pines. The owners are amazingly friendly and helpful. I talked to Angie about craft beer for a bit and she gave me a few suggestions of places to visit. Ron will even deliver firewood to your campsite! Tell me how many places will do that for you!!! They have wifi, nice shower/bathrooms, a laundry facility, and even a small game room with a few arcade games, board games and even an air hockey table. They campsite are really nice and spacious and the wooded area you are in is very nice because a lot of the campgrounds in the black hills have very very little trees within the campground. They also have great rates compared to most places in the area! Thanks Angie and Ron for having such an incredible campground!
If there was a 10 star option I would rate it that. Ron and Angie are fantastic people. I had a large group going that needed several sites and after telling Angie my situation, she got us set up perfectly. Ron even helped me square away a problem with the camper I was towing. The pricing was more than fair, including their retail section / wood / ice etc. The sites were exactly as described, spacious, and easy to maneuver large campers through. The facilities were great too. Playground and showers were clean and stocked. It was the perfect family trip. Thank you again Ron and Angie!
