Nice location to see a lot of different locations. Just be cautious on what you reserve, as the cabins have water problems and not quite the way they appear on the website. Pool is very dated looking.
Nice quiet area, stayed there 4 days and had own area in front of cabin to relax. Will stay there again.
Not the highest quality establishment, but my family used to meet here from all corners of the US for family reunions every three years or so. I have great memories attached to this place, and it is only a short distance from Mt. Rushmore.
Cabins smelled horrible and many sewer issues. We had made reservations months in advance but the rooms were not ready when we got there, they were dirty - some of the cabins were poorly cleaned and pretty sure some were not cleaned at all. Towels were never picked up and replaced even though they said they would. Putt putt golf course is a joke, basketball hoop is broken, and the list goes on and on. When we called the local chamber of commerce about them after our stay they said they had gotten several calls of complaints. STAY ELSEWHERE!!
The cabins are showing their age, and could use a little more maintenance, but overall a good place to stay. The on-site managers are very friendly and helpful. The roads are packed gravel with some loose gravel in some areas, so if you are on two wheels, be careful in the hilly areas. There are several places to make a campfire, so you can have the fun of camping while staying in a cabin. The pool and hot tub were a welcome amenity after being out all day!
